Project Pearl

January 4, 2015/0 Comments/in Movement /by John Smallios

Technical talk gets boring very quickly.

Most people think long and hard about the ramifications of specifics, and then still go on doing what they would have done in the first place.

We can chat till cow’s come home about the correct positioning of the feet, knees, hips, spine, chest, head, and everything in between when it comes to a good squat.

Or we can work in terms of a story, and let the process unfold organically.

 ……….

My girlfriend loves pearls.

In this moment there is an imaginary one sitting in the little ditch of her throat.

It costs lots of money. It drops and the game is over.

The squat happens with this visual in mind.

Suddenly, everything is coherent. It all makes sense. It feels right.

If simple, and effective is the goal, you’re now one step closer.

Just create, and refine your own story.
