A true Inner Westie. Coach John was born and raised in Earlwood, Sydney. He started school at Earlwood Public School before finishing up high school at Casimir Catholic College Marrickville.
Having lived in Marrickville, and then Hurlstone Park, before settling in Dulwich Hill, Coach John has always dreamed of providing authentic Pedro Sauer Gracie Jiu Jitsu to the residents of the Inner West.
The opportunity to get started with his own school happened accidentally in Woolloomooloo. And now with HJJ Sydenham in full swing, Coach John has finally fulfilled his wish of the perfect jiu jitsu academy right here in the Hood, Sydenham & Sydney’s inner west.
A beautiful facility, convenient location, loaded with parking, and so close to everything that makes the Inner West so much fun, Coach John welcomes you to commence your BJJ journey here at Higher Jiu Jitsu Sydenham.
